Town continued their excellent home start to the season with a 4-1 victory over Coventry City in front of the Sky cameras. Pablo Couñago scored twice and Jason De Vos and Jon Walters once, while Stephen Hughes netted a late freekick for the Sky Blues.

Town completed their first double of the season with a 2-1 victory at Coventry City. After a disappointing first half, Jon Macken put the Blues in front on the hour, then Alan Lee added his first goal in open play for two months before Michael Doyle pulled one back late on for the home side.

Striker Alan Lee has been included in a 29-man Republic of Ireland squad for a friendly with Chile in a fortnight. Lee has previously won eight senior caps.

Loanee Gavin Williams scored on his debut as the Blues' first game at Coventry's new Ricoh Arena ended in a 1-1 draw. Williams put Town ahead on 50 but Gary McSheffrey equalised six minutes later.

Town threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Coventry. Darren Currie and Jimmy Juan put the Blues ahead but Gary McSheffrey and Lilian Nalis netted either side of the break. Nicky Forster appeared to have scored the winner late on but the referee deemed the ball not to have crossed the line.

Town are sweating on the fitness of two of their Irish contingent ahead of tonight's delicately poised FA Youth Cup final second leg at Portman Road against Southampton (KO 7.45pm). Left-back Michael Synnott and central midfielder Owen Garvan both picked up knee injuries in Monday's first leg at the St Mary's Stadium.

Town's U18s travel to Southampton tonight for the first leg of the club's first FA Youth final for 30 years (KO 7.45pm). The Blues will be without striker Billy Clarke who has a knee injury which he sustained late in the second leg of the semi-final with Spurs.
